The fall R4R was Saturday, October 13 at 10am. This race began and ended in downtown Mt. Pleasant at the historic Ward Theatre. The race followed a section of paved trails through a few of the city’s parks and trails.
R4R is perfect for runners looking to join their love for running with their desire to do good in the world. R4R has a history of helping others, raising money for those in need locally and globally. This year, 100% of the registration fees go directly to helping the under-resourced in Myanmar. A team of generous folks have offered to cover the cost of hosting this event so that that every dollar you donate will directly benefit those in need.
This fall’s course started and finished in front of the Ward Theater in Downtown Mt. Pleasant, exactly the same as this spring’s route. The course will take runner’s South on Main St. and into the the trails in Millpond Park. The course followed a mix of paved and single-track dirt trails through Millpond Park. Runners exited Millpond Park near Mountain Town Station and followed the trail through Nelson and Island Parks. They exited the park onto Main St. near the Mt. Pleasant Post Office and then headed south to the Finish Line!
