Last week, about 50 ladies ranging from 13 years old and up journeyed north together for our 10th annual women’s retreat.  We spent three beautiful days near Petoskey, MI. This year’s theme was “We Are His.” Together we gleaned wisdom from God’s Word on what it means to be His in unity, to extend and receive forgiveness as His people, and about the comfort and hope God abundantly supplies His people with. Five talented guys from the worship team blessed us with some fantastic opportunities to worship the Lord, and to dance a little too! The women’s discipleship groups were incorporated into our time away with many groups preparing a special gift or activity in advance. Each discipleship group also stayed together, where they reflected on large group sessions, encouraged one another, and gave thanks to God together.

It was a blessing to be able to get away from the plethora of demands that each of us have on our plates. After being refreshed and refilled with the Holy Spirit and God’s Word, hopefully all of us have been able to return to our good and diverse God-given responsibilities with new energy, purpose, and hope. Thank you to everyone who made it possible for us ladies to retreat, and to do it for so many years now! Your prayers and support were felt!
