Lil' Church | Preschool - Kindergarten

Lil Church, which meets on the Lower Level, is a ministry designed specifically for preschoolers and kindergarteners. This ministry is unique in that it serves as a bridge between the younger ministries (where kids enjoy an abundance of intentional playtime) and the older Children’s Ministries (where the programs are structured).

LC volunteers enjoy engaging kids in free play, crafts, songs and snacks that have been carefully planned to help them understand the lesson. Most importantly, we prepare to teach from the Word of God in a way that is fun and relevant to them, helping to lay a foundation for further application of His Word as they move into the grade school years.

Something that your child will encounter for the first time in LC is participating in a small group. This is a place for them to learn, share their stories (they have many!), and pray with others. Small groups are a focus in all of the older Children’s Ministry groups, as we desire to help kids understand that there’s a special place for each person in God’s family, even those who are very young!

Kidz Church 1 & 2 | 1st-4th Grade

Kidz Church 1 is for 1st and 2nd graders and Kidz Church 2 is for 3rd and 4th graders. Both ministries are located on the Lower Level in a space that was designed to be used for both large group worship times and smaller teaches, activities, and small groups.

In Kidz Church, kids really begin applying the truth of the Bible to their lives and learning what it means to walk with God. Each weekend the kids will experience exciting worship, Biblically-grounded teaching, and a small group time where they have the opportunity to connect with an adult small group leader and a group of peers. We often include other elements such as drama, video, and theme-specific activities and games.

Our Kidz Church programs are high-energy and a lot fun as we challenge kids to begin applying the truth of the Bible to their every-day lives in specific and practical ways.

five6 | 5th-6th Grade

Five6 is a place where 5th and 6th graders can connect with their friends while studying and applying God's Word in their lives. A typical Sunday morning includes a time of worship, a lesson where the have an opportunity to study the Bible, a game or activity, and a small group time where volunteers can connect more intentionally with the students.

In five6, we encourage the students to find ways to serve God within His church. It is common to see students this age running slides for CM worship, pounding some nails on the construction team, or sweeping the floors with the cleaning team. We encourage kids to discover and use their gifts at an early age by serving in the local church.

In addition to our Sunday morning gatherings, we have periodic five6 events scheduled throughout the year. These events are specifically designed not only to build more meaningful relationships between the students and volunteers but also to teach and encourage the students in their own walks with God.
